We are Tiina and Yvi, two mothers and passionate surfers who founded MAIN Design. Our small Swiss fashion company was born out of the need to find functional and stylish surf bikinis that we were missing. So we started to develop our own designs. MAIN Design stands for sustainable surf and swimwear, especially for the environmentally conscious surfer and mother. Each product is developed with love and care from idea to completion to offer you feel-good swimwear and accessories that make you happy. Our commitment to the environment doesn't stop with our products. With every online sale we donate 1% to Healthy Seas to protect our oceans. Together we create a better future – for ourselves and our children.

Which bikini is suitable for surfing?
Look for a close-fitting, comfortable fit and a design that suits your activity. Adjustable straps, like on the Charm Top, or a waist tie, like on the Keira, help with adjustment. How securely a bikini stays in place also depends on size, body shape, and conditions.
What size do I need?
Measure yourself and compare your measurements with our Fit & Size Guide. You can combine tops and pants in different sizes. If you have any questions, we’ll be happy to help at info@maindesign.ch.
Are cushions included?
This depends on the model, color, and style. Selected Sassy and Charm styles come with removable pads. Check the details and available options directly on the product page.
Are all models reversible?
No. Selected styles and variants can be worn either way. Check the product description to see if this is possible with your favorite.
Do you also have surf suits and UV shirts?
Yes. In our surf collection, you'll also find surf suits and UV shirts. Information about UPF protection and body coverage can be found on the respective product page.
How do I care for my bikini?
After swimming, rinse with fresh water and let dry in the shade. Follow the care label and avoid rough pool edges and other abrasive surfaces.
Can I try it on at home and exchange it?
Yes. Please try on swimwear with underwear and leave the tags and hygiene seal intact. You can return suitable items within 14 days of receipt. Contact us for an exchange. You can find the terms and sale exclusions in our Returns FAQs.
How much is shipping?
