Did you know that 7 years ago we were the first Swiss brand to launch children's swimwear made from recycled materials?

Seven years ago, we at MAIN Design turned a heartfelt idea into reality: to be the first Swiss brand to design children's swimwear from recycled materials. What was a bold step back then is now an integral part of our philosophy.

A young girl wearing Main Design's teal Laila girls' swimsuit, made from recycled materials with SPF 50+, stands barefoot in front of a snack bar with a black and white menu and cans of drinks in the window.

Why recycled materials?
Our oceans are full of plastic waste and ghost nets. These not only harm marine animals but also pollute our environment. We use fabrics made from recycled nylon for our kids' swimwear. Old fishing nets, fabric scraps, and industrial waste are given a new life—as colorful, high-quality swimwear for little water lovers.

Sustainable. Fair. With passion.
Since 2018, we have been manufacturing our children's swimwear in small factories under fair conditions. Each piece is lovingly designed, carefully produced, and extensively tested – so that little explorers feel completely at home by the water.

Three smiling girls enjoy a sandy beach in Main Design's Laila girls' swimsuit made from recycled materials. Two are standing, while one is lying on the sand, as waves approach under a cloudy sky.

A look back – and forward.
What began as a small, passionate project has now become a fixture in Swiss summers. We are incredibly proud that we can contribute to a better world with our kids' swimwear—and thank you for accompanying us on this journey.

Expanded range

New to our range are the Nolan boardshorts for boys ages 10 to 16. We also lovingly design swimsuits for girls, bikinis, boardshorts for boys, UV shirts, long-sleeved Lycras, and baby swimsuits. Naturally, all products are made from recycled materials and feature UPF 50+ sun protection.
